Sis (PCA) and Cluster Evaluation (CA) have been utilized to describe the variability in the chemical composition within the soil samples and determine Hg species of main contribution to the total variability. Principal Element Evaluation (PCA) and Cluster Evaluation (CA) have been widely used in environmental research to differentiate in between natural and anthropogenic origin of contaminants [30,31]. R-mode PCA was applied to assess the weight on the unique fractions of Hg, total concentrations of Hg, Al, Ba, Ca, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Li, Mg, Mn, Na, Sr, Zn, water leachable concentration of anions (Cl-, SO2- and NO- ), four three organic matter and pH around the variability of chemical composition of soil and fate of Hg. According to the Kaiser criterion only the PC’s with eigenvalue 1.0 was retained and subjected to varimax rotation. Aspect loadings were classified as `strong’, `moderate’ and `weak’ corresponding to absolute loading values of 0.75, 0.50-0.75 and within the variety 0.30-0.50, respectively [32]. Cluster Analysis applying the Ward’s linkage method and Euclidian distances as a measure of similarity was applied to group chemical parameters into classes. The Shapiro-Wilk test was employed to confirm the null hypothesis in relation with all the normal distribution in the parameters under study. The Bland and Altman test [28,33] was applied to assess the 3-step sequential extraction of Hg from soil. Thus the variations (bias) among the sum with the three fractions of Hg species and Hg concentration extracted in aqua regia have been plotted versus the imply of benefits.Frentiu et al.
